As we all know, ninjutsu is able to become elements depending on the chakra of the user. The chart above displays the many different elements, combinations, and everything else a ninja would need to know. On this site, we try our best to give everyone a wide range of jutsus for them to utilize for a wide range of customization. This page is to explain that system, and how it can effect your playing experience.
PRIMARY ELEMENTS
The primary elements (fire,water, lightning, wind, earth) are the only elements besides ninpo that take up a slot. Which means, when you reach Ninjutsu mastery, you can have up to three of these elements. These elements are the basic building blocks in ninjutsu. Without them, we wouldn't have the vast array of combinations displayed here. Each of these elements hold characteristics that is completely different from the other. When the primary are combined into combinations, these characteristics fuse together to lead to the creation of something different. The Primary Elements are also able to cancel each other out, which is something completely unique to them.
COMBINATION ELEMENTS
These elements are created by the fusion of primary elements. Unlike Primary Elements, they do not take up a slot. Rather, they require the Fusion skill to be used. A character can have up to three combinations, so long as they have the three primaries that created those combinations. These combinations vary in effects in efficiency. Unlike primaries, it is much harder to cancel out a combination. Since combinations are composed of two elements, it would take the two opposite elements to cancel it out. On previous sites, some combinations are specific towards clans. On this site, it is possible to have a combination without having the clan, BUT having a clan allows you to use jutsus specific towards that clan. The only drawback to having a clan for your combination is that your element will now take up a slot for your ninjutsu.
YIN YANG BALANCE
For every primary element, there is a balance, a even contribution of both Yin and Yang. As a ninja becomes more proficient with ninjutsu, they will be able to tamper with this balance. Just as every ninja's chakra has a elemental affinity, it also has a affinity towards either Yin or Yang. With this affinity, they are able to focus on their primary element and alter the balance towards their favor. This allows the user to receive a special element of their choosing. A ninja can only have one of these elements, and there are only a few small exceptions that allow two balances from their primary element. These unbalanced elements are the paragon of their type. These elements do NOT take up a slot.
