RANKS:

These are the ranks as according to Jōkaiden.

Academy Student - Not really a rank. When you sign up on the forum and haven't been accepted yet, this is your rank. It goes up to Genin after you get accepted. It's there for novelty's sake.

Genin - The basic level ninja. Typically, you're in a team with two other Genin led by a Jonin or Chunin. You get a headband. You're anywhere from nine to thirteen years old when at this rank.

Jutsu: A limit of 15, four of which are C-rank. You may request 1 B-rank technique.
    Jutsu Points: 50.
    Bonus JP: 50.

Chunin - Those individuals who are experienced enough in either battle or in pure skill are promoted to Chunin. A special flak jacket is given to all Chunin, and said flak jacket is different depending on the Hidden Village you are part of.

Jutsu: Limit of 25, four of which can be B-rank.
    Jutsu Points: 60.
    Bonus JP: 65.

Anbu Chunin - Chunin who excel from the pack are hand picked to be enlisted into the Anbu Black Ops organization. They are chosen for their skill and independent leadership skills. These chunin are wisked away in the dead of night and lost contact with their former allies. They are trained in the art of stealth and perform missions for the Anbu. These Chunin are not quite as skilled as Special Jounin, but given their Anbu training they exceed in certain departments.

Jutsu: Limit of 30, two of which is A rank.
    Bonus JP: 60.

Special Jounin - A Special Jonin (often called Tokujo for short) are Jonin who, instead of having an even distribution of their skills, specialize in one certain skill. This could be tracking, interrogating, etc. They are often on a team with others who share their specialized skill to make full work of their abilities.

Jutsu: Limit of 35, one of which is S rank.
    Jutsu Points: 55.
    Bonus JP: 90.

Jounin - The best of the best. Few ninja ever possess the skill and ability to become Jonin, and thus, Chunin are much more common. The rare cases that do however, are revered among their peers. You typically will lead a team of three Genin, or are sent on dangerous and risky missions that require the full use of your skill as a ninja.

Jutsu: 40, two of which can be S-rank.
    Jutsu Points: 65.
    Bonus JP: 90.

Anbu Jounin - Often rising from Anbu Chunin, these Jounin are masters of the Anbu arts and excel above even other Jounin. These shinobi are often sent on very crucial and secret missions as well as supervising the training of the Anbu Chunin. Rarely does anyone outside of the Anbu Organization know these individuals faces or names.

Jutsu: 45, three of which can be S-rank.
    Jutsu Points: 30.
    Bonus JP: 100.

Retired Anbu - These jounin are former members of the Anbu Organization who retired their services, but still strive to be a shinobi for their village. These shinobi are often integrated into the Jounin program. These jounin retain their skills from their time as an Anbu giving them an edge amongst their jounin peers.

Jutsu: three of which can be S-rank.
Bonus JP added onto Anbu Jounin: 30.

Anbu Captain - The Anbu Captain is a jounin-rank shinobi that has risen above even the elite ranks of Anbu Jounin to become the leader of the Anbu Black Ops. The Anbu Captain is rarely seen outside of the Anbu Organization, and is known for protecting their village's wellbeing from the shadows. It is rumored that nothing escapes the intel of the Anbu Organization so some fear that the Anbu Captain knows all that goes on in the village. If the chain of command fail the Anbu Captain may take the role of Kage until the village stablizes.

Jutsu: four of which can be S-rank.
Bonus JP added onto Anbu Jounin: 45.

Jounin Commander - The Jounin Commander is the leader of all jounin within the village. The Jounin Commander works under the kage and organizes the village's jounin for coordnated efforts from the higher ups. The Jounin Commander is chosen for their elite skills and great leadership. Their cunning and skills are said to exceed even the Anbu Black Ops. The Jounin Commander is the third in line to become kage if anything were to happen.

Jutsu: four of which can be S-rank.
Bonus JP added onto Jounin: 135

Sannin - These shinobi are often jounin rank or higher and chosen to become a Sannin for their services to the village. Sannin are reverred as heroes of the village and to its people. Sannin are known for their great skills and their power is known all across the ninja world. Sannin are often asked by their villages to become Kages if anything were to happen to the current kage and no former kages are around.

Jutsu: 45, six of which can be S-rank.
    Jutsu Points: 70.
    Bonus JP: 110.

Retired Kage - When the villages Kage has served their time and decided to retire they fall into this rank. The former Kage retains all of their skills, but usually chose to stop being a shinobi. In times of crisis the former kage will be called upon for assistence or even to resume their former duties.

Jutsu: ten of which can be S-rank.
Bonus JP added onto Kage: 30.

Kage - The Kage is the leader of a shinobi village and is often revered as the one of the strongest in all of the world. The Kage has great skills and power, but often spends their days taking care of the village from a political role. If anyone ever pushes the village too far they will have to deal with this individual.

Jutsu: 50, ten of which can be S-rank.
    Jutsu Points: 50.
    Bonus JP: 110.

    Special Jounin Equal

A Class - A Class Rogues are extremely skilled rogues who have an impressive sum of skills and abilities that keep them alive. These Rogues are often listed in every villages bingo book and are encouraged to be avoided if ever encountered without a team of jounin. A Class Rogues present a threat to a village so great that they may mobilize many teams to take care of them.

    Jounin Equal

S Class - S Class Rogues are some of the best rogues in the world. Their infamy strike fear into the hearts of those who ahve heard their rumors. Rarely are S Class Rogues not known about as their villages must enlist the help of other villages to dispatch them. S Class Rogues are incredibly powerful and easily face against other A to S rank shinobi.

    Sannin Equal

Legendary Rogue - Legendary Rogues are shinobi who have acquired enough power and infamy that they receive pardons by the Daimyos to make peace with them. These rogues could topple villages if given the opportunity and present a massive threat to the status quo. Only Kages are advised to engage these rogues in combat.

    Kage Equal

Whenever a character gets a new rank, he or she will get the Jutsu Points from that rank. If the character manages to go up two ranks, he will get the Jutsu Points from his new rank, plus the rank that he passed by.

Remember, Bonus JP DO NOT STACK. You get the Jutsu Points from all the ranks you've passed up to the one you have, and THEN you add the Bonus for the rank your at.

Guide: Ranks Empty Re: Guide: Ranks

LETS RANK UP:

We will no longer be holding Chūnin Exams. Why? Because it's hard to organize it, and it takes forever, and then you all expect to get the position after flaking out after getting through the exams to a certain point. Instead, the amount of missions you do earns you points, and after you get a certain amount of points, you can rank up.

The point system for missions is as follows:

    D-rank: 2 points.
    C-rank: 4 points.
    B-rank: 6 points.
    A-rank: 8 points.
    S-rank: 10 points.

To rank up from Genin to Chūnin, you need 20 points. From Chūnin to Jōnin you need 50 points. Once you make enough points, you need to make a rank request and your advancement shall reviewed by the Admins.

FEELING SPECIAL:

There are some ranks that you cannot get no matter how many points you've earned. These are ANBU Chūnin, ANBU Jōnin, Sennin, Kage, and S-class Nukenin. These must be earned through ICly working for them, as well as the recommendation by a Kage (save S-class Nukenin). Nominees for these ranks or those applying for S-class Nukenin will be reviewed by the Admins, and it will be decided then if you do or do not earn that rank.

THE NUKE-NIN WAY:

Nuke-nin will now rank up based upon the severity of their crimes which will be treated as ranked missions as far as rank points are concerned. Weather it be interfering with the missions of other ninja or just doing your own thing. After each rp your crime shall be evaluated by the admins in order to decided exactly what it's worth on a criminal scale between D-S.
