Burning Flames on Freezing Ice

"Grrrr pale-flamed cowards!" Enjou kicked a vacant table as he walked out of the bounty office. He had attempted to check out some bounties and get some information on himself, but the man behind the board underestimated his power. It took most of Enjou's patience and will to not burn the entire building to the ground.

The blond haired rogue walked outside into the light morning sun and partial cloud cover. He would return after the board guy switched out with someone else. In the meantime he supposed he could just wait. Until he performed some bounties he didn't have any money to his name. Not that he was too hungry right now. He was satisfied with the lantern flame he had eaten earlier.

He kicked the ground a few times scuffing his grieves with some dirt. Enjou gritted his teeth and set himself upon the ground. He wiped the dirt off of his grieves and remained seated. "Man what a pain in the ass..."

Enjou sat there for several seconds in silence thinking about his next action. He heard someone approaching, but didn't give it a second thought until they got close. "Move it pineapple head!" Enjou paused for a few seconds, thinking over what was said. It was obvious this guy was talking to him. Enjou surprised quickly changed into anger while a vein made itself noticable on his forehead.

"Pineapple head?"

Enjou picked himself up and glanced around. The stranger had already walked into the bounty post. With slow steady steps Enjou walked around the doorway and looked inside. He could see the stranger who had insulted him. He had vivid blue hair and a wardrobe that had many shades of blue and white on it. Enjou glared at the man's back as he slowly walked inward. His grieves made soft metallic clinks as he walked. Some of the denizens within noticed Enjou and kept clear of his path. He neither flinched nor shifted as the room was covered with ice. As the blue haired stranger made his way toward the door Enjou extended an arm blocking his path.

"I think I have some unfinished business here..." Enjou said with a voice full of contempt.

The man behind the counter looked over at Enjou and cried out, "Just go with that guy and you'll get as many as you want when you get back."

Enjou's eyes shot toward the bounty board manager. He was already gritting his teeth and his hands were bundled into fists. Fire began to ignite across his skin showing physical signs of his anger rising. Finally he exploded bursting fire all across his body. "I don't give a damn about you!" Enjou cried out causing the manager to sneak away into the back room

Enjou turned toward the blue stranger, "My problem is with Frozen Sprouts here calling me Pineapple Head." Enjou's response got some odd looks from those within the post. "Nothing about my hair looks like a pineapple. I should burn you to a crisp to saying that."

Enjou's rage was steadily building with each passing second and passing comment by the stranger. Each comment from the stranger fueled Enjou's flames just a little bit more.

"Aren't you be a little, Pardon the pun, Hot headed my friend?"

Enjou's frown deepened a bit more as his lips parted further.

"I find it pretty funny how the manager turned you away because of your lack of experience and you left without so much as a little flame but the second I make fun of your hair it's an all out war."

Enjou's right eyebrow rose a small amount.

"Ya know Pineapple head."

Enjou's face turned into a shade of light red.

"If your gonna make such a bold threat you should follow up on it as soon as possible so people don't start questioning your commitment to being tough."

Enjou lowered his head causing his hair to cast a shadow over his face, effectively darkening it from being seen.

"Well here's your chance to save face blondie!"

Enjou's shoulder slumped somewhat.

"If your gonna burn me to a crisp now is the time to do it."

Enjou's shoulders began to shake. He didn't raise his head just yet, but it was evident that this man was about to explode. A soft voice escaped from Enjou.

"You resemble a frozen blueberry. Don't think that being cold is gonna protect you..." Enjou raised his head revealing his reddened face and extended frown. His teeth were mashed together. A few veins were exposed upon his forehead. "BECAUSE I'M GOING TO REDUCE YOU TO SOOT!!!!"

Almost upon command Enjou's entire body burst out in blueish purple flames. The flame almost instantly began to spread across the floor from his rooted position causing nearby bystanders to scramble away. Even beneath this veil of rage-induced flames, Enjou's rage stricken face was visible. The bright haired fireball tap his left foot upon the ground. Most likely unknown to most everyone else this was changing the setup within the grieve. With a quick twist Enjou did a counter-clockwise spin upon his right foot. He lifted his left foot off of the ground as he spun. The foot came parallel to the ground as he finished his spin flying straight toward the Frozen Blueberry's shoulders and neck. His grieve was fully ignited in the blue purple flames.

Enjou eyes widened a little at the sight of ice pillars blocking his kick. He wasn't that surprised by this development though. The ice was black in color giving off a white sheen in the light. It seemed this man had special attributes similar to Enjou. This didn't slow him down though. As the Frozen Blueberry was backing away with other black ice pillars blocking the way he had a look upon his face that just infuriated Enjou even more. His blueish purple fire sparked up further and he pushed harder with his leg to break through the pillar that stopped him.

Enjou stomped his foot on the wet floor of the bounty post, evaporating the water surprisingly quickly. A thick fog rolled in obscuring Enjou's vision, but he couldn't let that slow him down. His fury built up within him as he leaned back readying himself for his next attack. He cheeks pushed outward as the chakra in his lungs built up. A bit of blueish purple fire came out of his nose. Though most of the people around couldn't see Enjou currently they soon would as he bellow his next words.

"Karyū no Hōkō!"

A large steam of blueish purple fire blew forward skimming around the ice pillars and out the front door. The stream would fly fairly far reaching nearly 25feet before blowing up due to no large obstructions in his way. The fire illuminated Enjou and kept the mist at bay for a few seconds as it turned into steam. The black ice pillars were still standing, but substantially whittled down from the blaze.

As the mist rolled back in obscuring vision once more, Enjou burst out of the front door, hands and feet covered in his blueish purple fire. He looked around madly outside, still having trouble seeing with the mist. He pulled his elbows toward his gut and his fists faced the sky. He reared his head back and yelled at the sky.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU FROZEN BLUEBERRY!!!"

Enjou's body twisted and his eyes looked about when he heard the Frozen Blueberry call him out. He couldn't see his blue hair yet, but the mist was scattering with his movements. Enjou turned quickly as he approached. Just as he moved in to throw a slap, Enjou threw a right hook. He wouldn't know if his punch fully connected or not because when the slap connected with him he turned a slate gray color. Soon ash was scattered in the wind and mist.

"Shit!" Enjou muttered to himself as he leaped out of the bounty post. He couldn't remain in that cramped building any longer. Just as he was sliding to a stop his grieves flared up sending out trails of fire from their pipes. Enjou did a quick flip switching from standing on his feet to his hands. The fire from Ifrit propelled him into a spin creating a deadly circle of flaming kicks. At this point Enjou couldn't very well make out where the Frozen Blueberry was in the flames and mist, but he wasn't too worried as approaching him currently would be difficult.

Enjou twirled about looking through holes in his flames for signs of the Frozen Blueberry he was sure was out here just a few moments ago. Little did Enjou know that the blue haired silly man was actually a Mizu Bunshin much like his Hai Bunshin he so hastily tossed aside. His mind began to wander as he felt a bit of standing water and wet ground beneath his hands. It wasn't long after that Enjou learned all of the plans that had transpired.

The blond haired man was in mid-spin when the Raiton Jutsu connected with the water, and followed the moist path to his left arm. His right arm was in mid-air during the zap, but his whole body felt the electrical force. His left arm locked up for a few seconds causing him to fall into the wet dirt. Enjou didn't let this stop him though. Using the continuous thrust he spun on his back right above his shoulder blades until he got the chance to go airborne and land back upon his feet. After landing he did a few spins on his feet and the flames finally died out.

Enjou took in his breathes heavily like the air was thick. His skin felt like it was crawling and he felt a deep pain like growing pains on steroids. Though his left hand was burn a little, his natural resistance to burns allowed him to ignore it. His eyes looked at the ground for a moment before scanning the mist. He knew of this method of attack. Hide away and pick off at your opponent.

Enjou began to laugh a little, "I never would have guessed Frozen Blueberry was such a devious devil." Enjou broke into a loud cackle, "It must be nice hiding in your mist! But you can only hide for so long! I'M GOING TO BURN YOU UP!" Enjou spread his legs and locked himself. He spread his outward with palms facing forward and fingers facing upward. Almost instantly flames spewed out from around him. Black and white flames intermingled at first, but quickly found their places. The black flames focused around Enjou as the white flames went outward surrounding the black flames. The sphere of flames exceeded twenty feet around Enjou. The flames nipped at the bounty post threatening to set it ablaze. As the mist began to change into steam, Enjou gave a large jagged toothed grin.

Enjou noticed a disturbance just on the edge of his vision. It seemed as though someone had crashed into a snow bank by the large amount of white powder flew into the air. He narrowed his eyes as he saw the shield of black ice block his white flames. Shortly after the shield was erected long tendrils of ice spread out across the area. Enjou watched in surprise as the tendrils turned out to be thorned rose vines. They wrapped into his fire, but refused to melt. Enjou feared that the vines would pass through his white Zogeton flames and have no problem with his black Kokuton flames.

In a swift motion, Enjou dropped his stance and thus ending his jutsu. He made a quick jump to the side, but couldn't avoid the fast black ice vines. One of the vines wracked across his back leaving some deep lacerations and gripped his left arm tearing up the skin. He felt some icy hot pain on his back, but his left arm was still numbed from the raiton attack. Enjou's breaths came in ragged intervals as he actually began to worry about this fight dragging out.

The blond haired man looked across the field of battle. Some black flames lingered on the ground around the black ice vines. Beyond these black armaments stood the smiling visage of his adversary. Enjou hated his grin, but couldn't keep himself from admiring his skills. With a burst of chakra Enjou flew across the battlefield. Unlike his other taijutsu strikes he had no ignited his body in the least. He slid in front of the Frozen Blueberry throwing a punch toward his face.

"WE-SHOULD-PUT-ASIDE-OUR-DIFFERENCES-AND-BECAME-RIVALS-PUNCH!!!!!

Whether or not Enjou's punch connected matter not to the fiery man. He slid to a stop behind the Frozen Blueberry. His breathing changed into giggling and formed into full laughter. He turned around to face his new found rival. "You got some skills Frozen Blueberry."

Enjou couldn't keep a smile off of his face as Shimo: The Frozen Blueberry accepted him. Not that he had bonded that much with this blue-haired stranger. He put up a good fight and Enjou respected him for it. He let Shimo walk past him before following him as well.

Enjou had a few hunches on this man's history. His manner of jutsu suggested he was from Furogakure just the opposite of Enjou and Nokogakure. His black ice also seemed reminiscent of his blue flames. Perhaps he was from a famous clan as well. Enjou couldn't help but see much of himself within this person, but he also was the complete opposite. The world held such odd secrets.

Enjou walked forward and reached around his back to shake the ice crystals out of his hair. "The name's Enjou Kagutsuchi by the way."
