Suzume is a very delicate-looking girl. She looks too slender and fragile to be Shinobi, or even an ex-Shinobi. She is a slender girl with a dancer's body: long legs, long arms, and yet she is rather short. She is very hard to miss, often wearing bright and festive kimono, even in the event of something tragic. She usually has very long clothes: long-sleeved shirts with high collars, necklaces that hide her neck, pants that at least come down to her knees.

Suzume's face is pointed and rounded at the same time, making her specific age extremely hard to guess. Her most striking and noticeable feature is her eyes, which take up most of her face. They are bright gold/dark orange and are often shining with tears or emotions. Her hair, which is dark purple/brown, is long and comes down the middle of her back, though she usually has it up with a yellow or red ribbon. It is actually very rare to see Suzume with her hair down.

If you were to look at Suzume's bare skin, you would see the scars that run from her neck to her knees. To this day, she can't move without pain and, if you are well-trained and are looking hard, you would notice how stiffly she walks and how she very lightly favors her left side.

Suzume is a very loud and happy girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. She always has something to say and it is most often positive. It doesn't ever occur to her to censor her thoughts or curb her words and what she thinks often falls out in a bit splat that more often than not can cause problems for her.

Suzume is sometimes compared to a kitsune or tanuki spirit because of her love of mischief and disturbing habit of being wherever the trouble is. If something is missing or you find yourself pranked by a mysterious disappearing perp, chances are Suzume is to blame. She loves pranking people and making trouble and thus has gotten very good at running and hiding, even without the aid of jutsu or ninja arts.

When in the presence of Shinobi, Suzume is prone to depression. She does feel sad for she has lost. She was a Shinobi once. Just as she was going to become a Chunin, she had a run-in with some rogue ninja who left her scarred and broken. Not only could her body no longer stand up to the tortures of training and constant exertion that being a Shinobi demanded. They also somehow damaged her chakra so she can now only perform the simplest of jutsu and even those tax her considerably.
