Kenichi has -thus far, in his relatively short life- always been considered lacking in regards to his physical build. To put it simply: even at twelve years old, Kenichi is puny compared to his male peers. He has no meat on his bones, much to the chagrin of his parents and the proud Aoyama clan. Kenichi is neither short nor tall for his age, instead being decidedly average. However, he is tall enough to allow for his build to label him as "scrawny" rather than puny. He has a "two pack" as some of the bodybuilders in his village jokingly say. He has muscle, but not much of it.

Appearance wise, however, Kenichi is considered -amongst the village females- to be slightly above average. His dark purple hair and light green eyes give him a rather stunning appearance, without labeling him as "bishoujo." His skin tone is white, but shows that he frequently trains outside and doesn't just linger indoors. Kenichi rarely combs his hair, which is naturally neat, though he also doesn't cut it much; though, this is usually simply from him forgetting to do so, rather than a love for long hair. His emerald eyes mask a calculating intelligence and intense ferocity that has been bred within his line for generations.

Kenichi doesn't wear the "typical" shinobi garb by any means. He doesn't even like the shinobi sandals, and so he often wears boots or sandals worn by priests instead; wooden footwear that has a thong between the big and index toe, but the sole of which is smooth and not elevated. He also doesn't wear his forehead protector, much to the noticeable chagrin of the village elders. He instead considers himself a proud member of his clan, and his clan's rightful successor. As such, he often opts to wear a simple gi and hakama, which both allow for comfort and mobility.

Kenichi's personality has changed quite noticeably over the years. Born into a clan which prides itself on kenjutsu of all kinds, Kenichi was raised under a principle of "spare the rod, spoil the child." His parents discouraged loud noises, unruly behavior, and hyperactivity from an early age. He was raised in a quiet, strict, and serious household, and this fact did wonders to shape his heart and mind. He quickly adopted this formal atmosphere and began applying it to most situations. His instructors at the ninja academy loved him for this professional and serious attitude, but it turned off most of his peers and ostracized him from others.

And that was the whole point. As a member of the Aoyama clan, Kenichi's parents firmly believe that he does not "have time" for games and whimsical nonsense. He is an Aoyama, after all, and as such, he has the burden of the village on his shoulders. As his ancestors saw Kumogakure through the troubled times and managed to preserve Kumo as other villages fell, so too is Kenichi forever bound to the cloud. He is an Aoyama, the "lightning within the cloud." At the academy, he effectively became a "class representative" and a teacher's pet.

In his spare time, he did only four things: eat, study, train, and sleep. He was successfully raised as a warrior of the Aoyama clan, and is one day destined to become the right hand of the Hokage, like all of his ancestors before him. He is an Aoyama, a proud, humble, strong, and kind person who must follow the way of the warrior.
